Keep Bounds Green Food Bank Open

ree

Bounds Green Food Bank is fighting to stay open. We provide food, care, and dignity

to over 4,600 people, including 1,400 children, right here in our local community. Since 2024, we’ve been able to provide over £1 million worth of food and essentials to those in need, mostly through donated goods and food saved from landfill.

Our brilliant Advice Team provided 125 appointments to guests in 2024, giving vital financial, housing and general advice. But, due to a fall in funding and the rising cost of essentials, we’re struggling to meet the growing need of our guests.

It costs us over £6,300 every month to keep our shelves stocked and our doors open,

but we’re only receiving around £2,400 in donations. At this rate, we can only stay

open until April 2026.

The good news? You can help change that, today, by donating to our fundraising page.

  • £5 a week supports families with balanced meals, including fresh vegetables, bread and other staples

  • £10 a week fills the gaps and buys items we can’t always source through donations, like cooking oil, cleaning products and coffee

  • £20 a week provides food and essentials to a household for a week

  • A one-off donation of £29.90 provides a family of three with a full week of food and essentials - less than half the UK average weekly spend of £70.50. Your support stretches every pound further

We have 169 active volunteers, including four drivers and a cyclist who provide packages to vulnerable guests whose accessibility needs mean that they can’t attend food services in person.

We’re entirely community-run and rely on the generosity of local people to donate

time, food and money.

Together, we can ensure no one in our community is left hungry. Please give what you can today.
